Wherever she ends up, orange will be the new black for Ghislaine Maxwell
The sex trafficker’s lawyers have requested she be sent to the prison that inspired the Netflix series
Ghislaine Maxwell could spend her 20-year sentence in the low-security facility that was the inspiration for the women’s prison in Netflix’s Orange is the New Black.
US circuit judge Alison Nathan recommended Maxwell serve her time in the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, a 1,000-inmate facility about 90km from New York City. Maxwell’s lawyers requested she be sent to Danbury after she was sentenced on Tuesday.
