Meghan’s best pal fired from TV roles over ‘threats’ to black blogger

Presenter has come under fire over ‘white privilege’ row despite apologising for her actions on social media

The Duchess of Sussex’s best friend has been fired from two TV roles in America and Canada after “threatening” a black lifestyle blogger in a row over white privilege.

Jessica Mulroney, who attended Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding, was fired on Thursday night from the CTV reality show I Do, Redo for remarks she made to Sasha Exeter during an argument about “speaking up” against racism that had Exeter “paralysed in fear”.

The controversy has seen the network remove Mulroney’s show from its channels, saying her “recent conduct ... conflicts with our commitment to diversity and equality”. Mulroney also presented a fashion segment for ABC’s Good Morning America, which on Saturday cut ties with her as well...
