Zweli Mkhize throws weight behind the agency after US leader deals blow to virus fight by withdrawing US funding
As Donald Trump cops flak for cutting funding to the World Health Organisation over its handling of the coronavirus pandemic, SA health minister Dr Zweli Mkhize has joined the chorus of condemnation and thrown his weight behind the agency.
Mkhize told a press briefing on Wednesday night that the country had “full confidence in the WHO and the director-general, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus”.
