The Prince of Wales arrived back in the UK on Tuesday and travelled straight to Sandringham, the queen’s estate in Norfolk.
The prince has been away on a tour of New Zealand and the Solomon Islands ever since the Duke of York’s disastrous interview about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender, was broadcast on BBC2’s Newsnight.
On his return he had been expected to summon his errant brother to a meeting to discuss the unprecedented fallout but instead headed to Sandringham to honour a longstanding arrangement.
