Bulls and Springbok prop Lizo Gqoboka has opened up about his unorthodox and difficult path that includes working at a funeral parlour on his journey to become a professional rugby player when the odds were stacked against him.

Gqoboka, 32, is one of few rugby players who have managed to make it to the professional ranks despite coming from the most hopeless situations.

It’s no surprise Gqoboka describes his journey as only be achieved through “God, and not because of how smart you are or any other thing”...
