Having played in empty stadiums for two years, SuperSport United’s Ronwen Williams and Jesse Donn believe the highly anticipated return of spectators to Premier Soccer League (PSL) matches this weekend will reverse the increasingly flat domestic football of the past two years.
The pair say they cannot wait to have fans back, regardless of who they shout for on the day, as they might help to breathe life into dull matches.
SuperSport have a small but vocal fan base and all the DStv-owned club’s players will be champing at the bit to play in front of even a few thousand supporters, rather than facing the soul-destroying echo of only coaches’ voices. ..
