Stars like Djokovic are used to being a prat. Please, somebody tell them

He’s pandered to by people who praise and agree with him. His latest debacle shows blunt words are needed

Tennis players have become renowned for the size of their supporting entourage.

According to one report in 2017, Novak Djokovic had the biggest on the entire ATP Tour and counted three coaches, a physio, a strategist, a fitness coach, a hitting partner and even a spiritual adviser among his team. And yet you only had to listen to a press conference the previous year, in which he reacted with absolute incredulity at the temerity of a journalist to ask a vaguely critical question, to suspect that what he needs most is rather different. 

Someone, perhaps, who is ready to bluntly tell him how it is regardless of whether they depend on his patronage for their job...
