It is not so much the individual threat that Italy pose from numbers 1 to 23 but rather what their brains trust can hatch in Friday’s Rugby World Cup Pool B game that has Bok coach Rassie Erasmus concerned.

Italy coach Conor O’Shea has in the past enlisted the help of former Bok centre Brendan Venter, and he has erstwhile Bulls and Boland utility back Marius Goosen and SA-born English RWC winner Mike Catt as assistants.

Italy also have Franco Smith on the cusp of joining their ranks...
