The Proteas are in a transitional phase and have been thrown in at the deep end in touring India which is as tough a place to visit as they get.

Look, that is cricket and we can’t pick and choose who to play when it suits us, we just have to get on with it. 

When it comes to white-ball cricket, we really need to take a leaf out of the English playbook. It is no longer acceptable to deliver a run a ball, especially when the English top order targets 2/1.5 runs a ball angling at 180 as a target. This will move higher in years to come! ..
