Most of them are still licking their wounds and were not seen in public for months after the disastrous predictions they subjected the nation to on the eve of the Soccer World Cup in 2018.
The Tiso Blackstar sports journalists peered into their crystal balls before the start of the event in Russia but after the dust had settled, only Business Day sports editor Ian Sadler was able to walk with his head held high after correctly predicting that France would be perched at the summit of the football food chain at the end of the 2018 global showpiece.
