1913 — The Springboks meet France for the first time, and the South Africans score nine tries in a 38-5 rout in Bordeaux. Winger Boetie McHardy and forward Dougie Morkel scored two tries each. Centre Maurice Bruneau scored France’s only try.
2014 — Bafana Bafana come from behind to beat Mozambique 3-1 in the opening match of the African Nations Championship at Cape Town Stadium. Bernard Parker scored twice, including a penalty, with midfielder Hlompho Kekana adding the third.
