Blast from the past: Kallis scores first double ton

Today in SA sports history: December 18
2010 — Jacques Kallis scores his maiden double century as he hits an unbeaten 201 on the third day of the first Test against India at Centurion – 15 years after making his debut in 1995.
2014 — Hashim Amla scores 208 at Centurion on the second day of the first Test against West Indies to help set up an emphatic SA victory by an innings and 220 runs. That total surpassed Kallis’s 201 as the highest score by an SA batsman at the ground.
2015 — Gideon Buthelezi wins the vacant IBO junior-bantamweight title when he outpoints Makazole Tete over 12 rounds in East London. Buthelezi had previously held the IBO junior-flyweight title.
