Xolile George or nothing: parliament to pursue Salga boss, say sources

So desperate is parliament to have South African Local Government Association (Salga) CEO Xolile George as its administrative boss that it plans to reopen negotiations with him to take the job.
Sunday Times Daily has it on good authority that the legislature is planning another attempt to woo George, despite being unable to afford him.
Sources close to the process say parliament is planning to withdraw its most recent job advert for secretary to parliament, effectively its CEO, and will pursue George, who was its preferred candidate at the end of a recruitment process that was concluded in March 2021...
