Cracks in school walls but who cares? Not the department

North West pupils still waiting for mobile classrooms, while parents at another school have vowed to keep fighting


Grade 8 and 9 pupils of Klipgat High in North West will be forced to continue learning under trees or in a carport when schools reopen on Tuesday because no mobile classrooms have been delivered.

And parents of pupils attending Thulwe Primary, also in North West, who held a placard demonstration on Monday demanding classrooms, have vowed to intensify the fight if their pleas fall on deaf ears.

Officials from the department of employment and labour in Rustenburg closed the kitchen, administration block and four classrooms at Thulwe Primary on March 15 because of the shocking state of the buildings...
