Curiosity didn’t kill this cat. He survived 100km in a car engine

A lawyer travelling from Bloemfontein to Winburg was alerted by a car guard that there was a cat under his bonnet

After being stuck under the bonnet of a Mercedes-Benz from Bloemfontein to Winburg — more than 110km — a ginger cat was rescued unharmed.

“He was very scared and I just took him in my arms and gave him a little bit of love and comforted him. I talked a little bit to him because I also have two cats, so I was just talking to him and eventually he calmed down and he was fine,” said Jeanie Nelson, who helped rescue the animal.

“When we stopped, the bonnet of the white Mercedes-Benz was already open and there were people standing there and looking in the engine. I just heard them say something about there being a cat in the engine and when I heard that I immediately went over. I love animals...
