It’s all going swimmingly in SA’s luxury property market

As lockdown eases, homes worth millions are being snapped up by locals and foreigners, say property gurus

As SA gradually emerges from lockdown, the luxury residential property market is showing signs of increasing activity, with some of the swankiest homes and flats being snapped up for millions.

Among recent mega-sales is a home in Clifton on the Atlantic seaboard, which has been purchased, “sight unseen”, by an American for R30m, and a penthouse in Cape Town’s V&A Marina, which was also acquired by a US buyer, for R41m.

At another of SA’s property hotspots, the KwaZulu-Natal north coast, agents recently concluded a sale of a R26m home in the luxurious Zimbali Coastal Estate. ..
