Vaccine producer takes cannabis therapy to a new high

Unlike conventional CBD oils, this water-soluble innovation is more potent


A Cape Town-based biotech start-up company Afrigen Biologics and Vaccines has entered the CBD oil industry, promising a locally made  product designed to deliver 15 times more CBD to the bloodstream compared to conventional CBD oils.

Using a new nanotechnology, which is used to produce vaccines, a group of scientists, mainly women, are producing this premium quality and highly absorbable nanozomal CBD+ to treat a range of ailments.

Dr Caryn Fenner Afrigen’s technical director said while conventional CBD oils were not water-soluble, what made the latest innovation more potent was its unique conversion into a water-soluble form, “which makes it highly absorbable and therefore highly bioavailable”...
