Record high pollen count leaves Joburg allergy sufferers in tears

If you live in Johannesburg you may hove noticed the air is a little dense lately. Perhaps you’ve noticed a new itch, sore eyes and sneezing.

For those allergic to pollen, September is usually a season of sniffles. But this year the spring buds have brought an extra dusting, giving Joburg a record high pollen spore count in the past few weeks.

The trees have been so generous, in fact, that experts warn the pollen levels in the air are potentially dangerous for those suffering pollen allergies and asthma...
