Home-grown “clergyman” and alleged fraudster Dennis Jali has his legal woes piling up, with US justice department prosecutors indicting him and two others over an alleged R500m Ponzi scheme.
The 35-year-old, of Umlazi in KwaZulu-Natal, now faces charges of conspiracy, wire fraud, securities fraud and money laundering, according to the indictment.
This will present a headache for Jali, as he is already facing charges of fraud and theft, relating to allegations that he ran a pyramid scheme in SA that eventually came unstuck in 2018...
