Ten hours of painstaking and patient questioning by state capture inquiry evidence leader Kate Hofmeyr on Wednesday exposed how top SAA officials allegedly scored R4.3m in pocket money and millions to buy cars and a house.
Deputy chief Justice Raymond Zondo listened attentively as Hofmeyr grilled businessman Vuyisile Ndzeku, who ended up exposed as a facilitator of “corrupt payments” to former SAA Technical (SAAT) chairperson Yakhe Kwinana, ex-SAAT procurement head Nontsasa Memela and erstwhile SAA Group head of procurement Lester Peter.
