As infections surge in this KZN hot spot, more residents are slowly realising the gravity of the situation
Candles burned brightly and prayers were recited for residents of a street in Chatsworth, Durban, who had recently tested positive for Covid-19.
Among them was a woman who had to bid farewell to her mother from the window of her home before undertakers took her remains to the local crematorium.
With efforts escalating to break the stigma of the virus in the hot-spot township, residents of Krypton Avenue in Moorton were able to help the woman mourn her loss by holding a vigil outside their homes...
