Nhleko disputes Ipid evidence, insists first report on Dramat was final
Robert McBride, Innocent Khuba told the state capture inquiry the report clearing Anwa Dramat was ignored
Former police minister Nathi Nhleko on Tuesday maintained before the state capture inquiry that he was within his rights to suspend Anwa Dramat as Hawks boss in 2014.
This despite evidence to the contrary before the commission by former Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) head Robert McBride and Innocent Khuba, an Ipid investigator.
The duo previously told the commission that Nhleko connived with former Hawks boss Berning Ntlemeza to get rid of Dramat by ignoring an Ipid report that cleared him of any wrongdoing related to the illegal rendition of Zimbabwean nationals in 2010...
