No soccer until end of August - but will PSL kick up a fuss?

Now that the SA Football Association (Safa) has drawn the line in the sand by declaring there won’t be any football in the country until late August, eyes will be firmly fixed on Premier Soccer League (PSL) chairperson Irvin Khoza.

Khoza is scheduled to address a press conference on Monday, presumably to outline details of their readiness to resume the season, which was discussed during their heated marathon Board of Governors (BOG) meeting on Thursday.

It remains to be seen if he will go ahead despite objections by Safa, who are arguing that the league has not fully complied with the health and safety directives of the Joint Liaison Committee (JLC) and the government to resume their programme...
