Cindy September’s list exploded, became so overwhelming she had to take a break, but now she’s back
For Cindy September, compiling a list of names of women murdered by men pushed her to the brink of depression. The 14-page document contains 403 names.
The 40-year-old, from Robertson in the Western Cape, started the list in August last year on Facebook, after joining a group which focused on gender-based violence.
But within four months, the overwhelming response to her post took its toll — adding to the list she called “Fallen Angels” seemed endless...
