Back to the chalk board as schools are ‘95% ready’ to reopen
Minister Motshekga says schools will open to grades 7 and 12 on Monday, and she has the backing of unions
There will be no more false starts, and schools will open on Monday.
This was the assurance of basic education minister Angie Motshekga on Sunday afternoon.
And it appears that Motshekga’s department finally has the support of teacher unions, who said in a joint statement on Sunday they “tentatively support” the reopening on Monday...
