I’m still jailed by my wrongful rape conviction, says law graduate

Freedom Day is bittersweet for 37-year-old Njabulo Ndlovu.

He is relieved to be at home with his family in Umlazi, south of Durban, after serving almost 14 years behind bars for a crime he did not commit, but he is still “imprisoned by the wrongful conviction”.

When he walked out of prison in August 2018, Ndlovu told Times Select he felt as “free as a bird”, but today he questions his freedom...
