Convicted ‘k-word bitch’ racist confirms she’s on the run

Convicted racist Marie Basson says she is in hiding after losing her appeal against a six-month jail term for calling a black woman — who is a senior Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) investigator — a fat “k-word bitch” four years ago.

“I want to offer to take a polygraph — I did not say [the k-word]. I will never be the same person again. I will never get it. I keep thinking, why did this happen to me ... I am in excruciating pain,” she told Times Select in a hotel room in Johannesburg where she was hiding out, wearing a blonde wig as disguise.

The altercation between her and Nomsa Masuku took place at a shopping centre in Kempton Park, east of Johannesburg, when Masuku accidentally bumped into Basson’s daughter who was then three years old...
