‘Never again’: Enock’s family vows ‘strongest’ legal action

Civil and criminal charges will be taken against the education department and the lodge, says lawyer

Enock Mpianzi’s family is determined to push ahead with legal action against both the Gauteng education department and the Nyati Bush and River Break lodge to prevent “another nightmare such as this” from happening again.

This is according to lawyer Ian Levitt who is representing the family of the Grade 8 pupil who drowned on a Parktown Boys’ High school camp earlier this year. He was speaking after Gauteng education MEC Panyaza Lesufi released the findings of an investigation into the tragedy.

Levitt said the family would pursue civil and criminal action. ..
