Spies vetted SAA staff ‘to make sure they were on Myeni’s side’
Zondo hears 118 SAA employees were ‘illegally’ vetted by the SSA with the blessing of ministers Nene and Mahlobo
Former ministers Nhlanhla Nene and David Mahlobo – alongside former SAA board chair Dudu Myeni – allegedly authorised the “illegal” vetting of the national airline managers using the State Security Agency (SSA).
Nene was finance minister at the time, and Mahlobo was the political principal of state security.
