The Vaal is going to pong for a good while yet
Work is under way, and funds have been allocated, but in the meanwhile tourism continues to suffer
It will be some time and many millions of rand before the broken sewerage systems along the Vaal River have been repaired and the river runs clean once more.
While R141m has been allocated out of national coffers to get work started, a further R750m is expected from government once parliament passes the 2020/21 budget.
