A ‘businessman’ who corrupted a cop argues that he’s been given an unfair amount of jail time

As a former high-ranking police officer serves jail time for corruption, a Cape Town businessman accused of corrupting him is still holding on to his freedom.

And in another court, a different businessman convicted for corrupting top cop Arno Lamoer is lamenting the fact that his jail sentence is harsher than some of his co-accused.

On Tuesday, the man said to be an underworld kingpin, Nafiz Modack, appeared in the Cape Town regional court alongside his mother, Ruwaida, on charges of corruption. ..
