Climate crisis comes to a boil as oceans in 2019 are hottest on record

The warmest ocean temperature on record was captured in 2019, highlighting the threat to the planet’s marine life.

A new study, published on Monday in the journal Advances in Atmospheric Sciences, shows there has been “unequivocal warming of the planet”, with the ocean temperature in 2019 being 0.075°C higher than the 1981-2010 average.
