Polar plunger is looking for ‘young guns’ to help him train for his most daring swim yet
If you haven’t yet made plans for new year, Cape Town cold water swimmer Lewis Pugh is looking for training partners.
In preparation for his next Antarctic challenge on January 22, intended to ramp up his campaign to save the continent’s oceans and combat global heating, Pugh has placed an intriguing newspaper ad in the UK.
“Looking for young guns to train with polar swimmer,” it says. “Must be willing to swim and run hard. No tea breaks. No Hogmanay [the Scottish new year celebration]. Outer Hebrides 29 Dec to 8 Jan.”..
