The next big thing in African fashion just passed Grade 6

Enhle Gebashe is only 11, but her designs have raked in awards and are turning heads everywhere

When Enhle Gebashe started to cut up clothes to “recreate them”, her mother Desiree would be furious.

“Sometimes she would cut out one sleeve, the cuffs, or anywhere where she felt the cutout would enhance the looks of the garment,” said Desiree.

“She would then proudly show me and say: ‘Look how beautiful it is mommy … I’m a fashion designer’.”..
