Small businesses are bearing the brunt of the power cuts in December. 

And their misery is only getting worse as Eskom announced unprecedented stage 6 load-shedding from 6pm on Monday.

Ivan Govender, who owns a laundromat in Florida Glen, west of Johannesburg, said Eskom’s load shedding was an inconvenience to small businesses such as his because they don’t have the cash flow or capital reserves to come up with alternatives...
