With its newly extended R400m beachfront promenade, stringent anticrime festive season plan and fully prepared hospitality establishments, Durban is primed for the summer holiday rush.

Tourism KwaZulu-Natal has projected 1.1 million domestic trips and 117,500 international arrivals for the festive season from December 1 until January 16, with a consumer spend of more than R2bn.

Not leaving anything to chance, the tourism authority has rolled out a “Do KZN, Do Summer” campaign to entice holidaymakers to spend their holidays in the province...
