A scathing report by the Competition Commission, slamming oppressive anti-competitive business practices of SA’s grocery retail giants, could be the solution to jump start the nosediving economy.

As Woolworths, Pick n Pay, Spar, Shoprite and Checkers study the commission’s Grocery Retail Market Inquiry report released on Monday, critics say the findings are exactly what is needed to ensure small businesses have a fighting chance against the national chain stores.
