A Vredenburg man who confessed to spending seven years grooming and repeatedly raping his own daughter has tried to have his life sentence reduced by claiming the rapes weren’t that terrible and that his daughter doesn’t seem to have any lasting debilitating effects.
Last week Friday, the Western Cape High Court tried to unpack what was described as the man’s “insidious and devastating” behaviour.
