Home-grown ‘fraudster’ faces hefty US lawsuits

The woes of Umlazi-born pastor and alleged conman Dennis Jali – who faces criminal probes in SA and in the US – are piling up as jilted investors head to the courts to claw their money back.

Jali stands accused of fleecing investors in a get-rich-quick forex scheme and has been sought by the Hawks since 2018.

He appeared in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes court in September and was released on R30,000 bail...
