Malema gets a scolding fit for a juvenile delinquent

The judge cleared the EFF leader of hate speech, but he wasn’t done yet

It was “hateful and aimed at engendering hatred”, but it did not amount to hate speech.

This is how the Equality Court viewed EFF leader Julius Malema’s remark that public enterprises minister Pravin Gordhan was a “dog of white monopoly capital”.

A year ago, Malema told supporters outside the state capture inquiry in Johannesburg: “An attack on Pravin is an attack on white monopoly capital, Pravin is a dog of white monopoly capital, we must hit the dog until the owner comes out.”..
