A former executive of Sandton property development company Reeflords has successfully sued the company at the Labour Court for ousting her from her position after she returned from maternity leave.
Lauren de Almeida launched her unfair dismissal case claiming Reeflords had discriminated against her, changing her role within the company because she had just had a baby.
According to Judge Robert Lagrange’s ruling at the Labour Court in Johannesburg, De Almeida had started working for the company in 2014, and was responsible for setting up a new sales office “from scratch”...
