A tech tycoon who built his dream house on the slopes of Table Mountain spent millions on a one-off roof, only to find his real nemesis was underground.

Now renowned Belgian yoga teacher Philippe Brawerman says eight years of litigation against a geotechnical firm he accuses of failing to detect the high water table have left him so disillusioned he is leaving SA.

The approach adopted by the company’s insurer had forced him to sink millions of rand into litigation rather than the economy, he said...
