Help! This spoilt little otter needs barbels – lots of them

Lazarus has decided he wants them for every meal, while his carers are more worried about how he washes his food

Lazarus, who has become known as the pampered Cape clawless otter, has ramped up his brattish behaviour, and is now demanding to wake up to his favourite fish meal.

His handlers say he has taken to eating barbel for breakfast, lunch and supper, and expects it for every meal.

And he still hasn’t worked out that he can wash the fish in the river before eating it – not his water bowl...
