Convicted Dros rapist Nicholas Ninow presented himself to court on Wednesday as a broken man and a drug addict suffering from depression and bipolar disorder.

Ninow took the stand during sentencing proceedings in the High Court in Pretoria where he was convicted of raping a seven-year-old girl at the Dros restaurant in Silverton, Pretoria, in 2018.

He started his testimony by relating his childhood and how he started taking drugs at the age of 13. His mother, who is a drug addict, introduced him to chemical drugs, he said...
