It’s that time of year when international and local tourists alike are delighted by the spectacle of southern right whales breaching along our SA coastline.

They migrate here between July and December to calve and mate in waters that are much warmer than the icy Antarctic.

Their sheer magnitude has made collecting data very difficult...
