SA’s grim crime rate, rising costs of living and failing economy are what spook immigrants to this country the most.

In the latest InterNation Expat Insider report – which looks at the world’s best places for expats to live – SA, in many ways, is viewed in a poor light.

For the online survey, which was conducted in March and whose results were published this month, 20,259 people, representing 182 nationalities, shared their experiences of living abroad. The survey looked at what life is like for expats living in 64 countries...
