The implosion of a prominent Cape Town law firm has resulted in its five directors communicating through ... lawyers.

Tensions at Heyns & Partners – which saw three of the five directors resigning – emerged in the Cape Town High Court when the son of a 95-year-old woman applied to have director Francois Theron removed as the curator of his mother’s estate.

Now the law firm is accusing Theron of dipping into the 61-year-old firm’s trust account and says a Hawks investigation is under way...
