Ardent homophobe Jon Qwelane – former ambassador to Uganda – has elevated his fight for freedom of expression to the Supreme Court of Appeal, asking that the bench set aside a 2017 ruling that found him guilty of hate speech.
Judgment is expected to be delivered by the end of the year.
