‘Aggressive’ Cyril is intimidating me, says Mkhwebane

Ramaphosa's lawyer counters that he's doing no such thing, as Gordhan court ding-dong continues


President Cyril Ramaphosa was using “undue aggression” against public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane, her legal representative Adv Dali Mpofu charged in court on Thursday.

He was speaking as Ramaphosa and Mkhwebane squared up in court, battling over whether the president had implemented remedial action against public enterprises minister Pravin Gordhan, as per the public protector’s recommendations.

Ramaphosa asked the High Court in Pretoria on Thursday to declare he complied with the remedial action Mkhwebane had directed in May, which was that the president must take disciplinary action against Gordhan...
