Board promises to create 'safe space' for employees to speak out, but more rot comes to light


More former staff at one of SA’s biggest hospices have spoken out after a Sunday Times report saying the institution was in danger of imploding.

Ex-employees at St Luke’s Combined Hospices in Cape Town provided a list of the many staff who have left, as well as information about the decline of the hospices’ charity shops.

Others spoke about the emotional fallout of having worked in what they characterised as a “hostile environment” and said they had sought counselling to cope...
